Occasionally, unaddressed conflict between individuals can affect the broader team. The Office of the Ombuds offers group interventions to both manage unresolved conflict and build long-term conflict competency within groups and teams.
For supervisors and team leaders
If you manage a team and are interested in exploring conflict management options with the Office, please feel free to reach out to us for a confidential initial appointment. At this meeting, we will discuss which interventions and strategies may work best depending on the needs of the team and your particular goals. Such interventions may include group training, informal climate surveys, shuttle diplomacy, or individual consult with team members.
For individual team members
If you are a member of a team or group that you feel could benefit from ombuds services, please schedule a confidential one-on-one appointment to discuss next steps.
Mediation
The Office of the Ombuds offers both two-party and multi-party mediation. Our services are provided by trained, impartial mediators, and integrated with the suite of confidential Ombuds services offered through our office.
